    본 연구실에서는 아래와 같은 연구들을 진행 중이다.

     

    1) 조직 재생 과정의 분자 기전 연구
    - 근육 재생 과정에서 근육 줄기세포의 증식 및 활성을 조절하는 분자생물학적 기전을 규명하고 이를 조절하는 기술을 개발하여 근육 손상 및 근감소증에 대한 치료 기반을 제시한다.
    - 간 손상 후 재생 과정에서 간/담관세포의 기능을 이해하고 동물모델 및 오가노이드 모델을 활용하여 분자생물학적 기전을 확립한다.
     
    2) 간섬유화 조절 기전 연구 및 약물 표적 발굴
    - 대사이상성 지방간염(MASH)에서 전사조절인자 TAZ 단백질의 기능을 규명하고 활성 조절 인자를 발굴한다.
    - TAZ 활성 조절 스크리닝 시스템을 활용하여 MASH 치료를 위한 선도물질을 발굴한다. 
     
    3) 뒤센근이영양증(Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy) 병인 기전 연구
    - 뒤센근이영양증 모델 시스템을 활용하여 분자생물학적으로 병인을 분석하고 치료 기반을 제시한다.
    - 발굴된 표적 인자를 활용하여 치료를 위한 선도물질을 발굴한다. 
     
    4) 역학적 신호전달(Mechanotransduction)을 통한 근육 및 혈관세포 활성화 기전 연구
    - 근육 줄기세포 및 혈관 세포에서 물리적 신호(인장, 기질 경도등)에 따른 활성 조절 신호를 분석하고 그 기전을 확립한다.
    - 운동을 통한 근육 줄기세포의 활성 조절 기전을 분석하고 근감소증 치료 기반을 제시한다. 
    - 혈관세포에서 운동의 효능을 분석하고 대사 질환의 예방 효과를 검증한다.
