We are interested in finding out the pathogenesis of the main mood disorders  : Major Depressive Disorder(MDD), Bipolar disorder(I, II), and Postpartum depression.

We examine both the structural and functional abnormalities in the brain of the patients diagnosed with mood disorders by employing cutting-edge neuroimaging techniques such as voxel-based morphometry, surface analysis and connectivity analysis.

We integrate interdisciplinary research approaches, mainly including structural/functional MRI and genetics analysis. Together with individualized result of each patient, this multidisciplinary information is being coded for Big Data driven decision making system development, which will enable not only more precise diagnosis but also the individually tailored treatment of mood disorders.

Furthermore, we carry out experimental researches on the affect-related tasks in association with functional neuroimaging techniques for more cognitive psychological comprehension of human affective processes.

Research techniques include MRI, fMRI, EEG, genetic studies(blood analysis), Big Data
