    안지훈은 1997년 서울대학교에서 박사학위를 하고 1998년부터 2001년까지 미국 The Salk Institute for Biological Studies (La Jolla, CA)의 Detlef Weigel Lab에 서 애기장대의 개화시기 조절에 관한 연구를 했다. 주요 연구 관심은 애기장대를 모델로 해서 고등식물체에서 대기온도의 변화를 인지하는 개화 조절과 miRNA에 의해 일어나는 개화시기 조절에 관한 연구이다.2008년부터 현재까지 대기온도 센서 연구단 (창의적 연구 진흥 사업/미래창조과학부)의 단장으로 있다.

  • Research

     

    The Ahn lab has made fundamental contributions to the understanding of the control of flowering time by ambient temperature changes. Best known of our discoveries is that a small group of genes that act within a distinct pathway, the ambient temperature pathway, mediate ambient temperature response. This finding was one of the first clues to the molecular genetic mechanism of plants’ behavior to the ambient temperature changes.

     

    There is increasing concern about the potential impact of global temperature changes, which significantly affect ambient temperature, on plant development. Although a great deal of progress has been made in our understanding of the regulation of plant development by low temperature, less is currently known about the molecular mechanisms underlying the responses of plants to changes in ambient temperature. Our findings have provided a new explanation for the genetic mechanisms by which plants respond to ambient temperature changes.

     

    We proposed the ambient temperature pathway genes control flowering time (Nature Genetics). We have shown that SHORT VEGETATIVE PHASE (SVP) acts within the thermosensory pathway and plays a role in ambient temperature response via direct binding to the cis-acting element of FLOWERING LOCUS T (FT), an important floral integrator gene (Genes and Development). In addition, we have shown that small RNAs play an important regulatory role in ambient temperature signaling and that SVP provides a link between the thermosensory pathway and ambient temperature-responsive miRNAs (Nucleic Acids Research). We have recently showed that SHORT VEGETATIVE PHASE (SVP) and FLOWERING LOCUS M-beta (FLM-beta), two MADS-box proteins, form a complex that mediate temperature response in plants (Science). We also showed that control of the abundance of SVP-FLM-beta repressor complex at the transcriptional level (FLM) and at the post-translational level (SVP) is important for plants’ response under continuingly changing ambient temperature conditions.

    이정환 교수는 2001년 2월 고려대학교서 박사학위를 취득하고 2003년 2월까지 박사후연구원으로 벼에서 개화시기 조절경로에 작용하는 OsFCA유전자에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 2003년 3월부터 PBIO-A에 들어와서 온도에 의해 조절되는 개화시기 경로와 조기개화에 관련된 애기장대 돌연변이체를 찾고 있다.2007-2010 MOEHRD-KRF Research Professor (Korea Research Foundation)]

    김완희 박사는 2008년 12월 프랑스 파리 제11대학에서 Role of histone acetylation in the function of genome expression을 주제로 생물학 박사학위를 취득하고 2009년 1월에 박사후 연구원으로?랩에 합류하였다. 현재 식물의 온도 센서로서의 micro RNA에 대해 연구하고 있다. (2010-2011 Postdoctral fellowship (National Research Foundation)
    김 수진박사는 서강대학교에서 “벼의 비생물학적 스트레스에 의해 유도되는 유전자에 대한 연구”로 박사학위를 받았으며, 독일 프라운호퍼 연구소에서 “Downstream processing for purification of a monoclonal anti-HIV 2G12 antibody from transgenic maize kernels”의 주제로 연구하였다. 현재 FT-FTIP mapping에 관한 연구와 cell biology에 흥미를 가지고 있으며, 책읽기와 등산, 걷기 운동을 좋아한다.
    유학승 박사는 2011년 8월 경희대학교에서 OsWRKY TFs 기능 연구를 주제로 박사학위를 받고 2013년 3월에 박사후 연구원으로 PBIO-A에 합류하였다. 현재 온도 변화에 따른 개화시기 조절에 관여하는 PAF1, UPF mechanism 에 대한 연구를 진행하고 있다. (2014-2017 연구교원, Research Fellow)
    김선영 박사는 2013년 2월 숙명여자대학교에서 AtBAK1과 그의 새로운 downstream component의 기능 연구를 주제로 박사학위를 받고 2014년 3월에 박사후 연구원으로 PBIO-A에 합류하였다. 
    신현영 박사는 2014년 8월 고려대학교에서  JA와 stress에 반응하는 벼와 애기장대의 MAP kinase의 기능 연구를 주제로 박사학위를 받고 2014년 9월에 박사후 연구원으로 PBIO-A에 합류하였다.

    Hendry Susila joined us from Indonesia. He was born in 1989 in Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia. He obtained his bachelor degree in Faculty of Biology, Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia. 
    진수현은 2012년 12월에 PBIO-A에 합류하여 2013년 3월 석사과정으로 입학하였다. 2014년 3월부터 석박사 통합과정으로 입학하였다. 
    Phanu Tew Serivichyaswat hails from Chiang Rai, Thailand. Having earned B.Sc. (Biotechnology) from Mae Fah Luang University (Thailand) in 2012, he worked at Orchid Biotechnology Research Laboratory to study the molecular basis of orchid-mycorrhiza symbiosis, then later joined us in the following year. Ending world hunger is his motivation to study flowering time. He is currently studying the role of micro RNA in regulation of ambient temperature-responsive flowering time. 
    정 명교는 2013년 5월에 학부연구생으로 PBIO-A에 들어왔다. 2014년 3월부터는 석-박사 통합과정으로 PBIO-A에 입학하였다. 현재 식물의 miRNA 연구에 필요한 실험을 배우고 있다. 정명교는 PBIO-A에서 자라고 있는 위대한 꿈나무이다. 정명교의 꿈은 졸업 전까지 논문 10000편 읽기(논문 개수 현황- 미공개)와 훌륭한 과학자가 되어 한국에 과학을 보편화시키는데 여생을 헌신하여 많은 과학자를 발굴하고, 한국의 과학을 발전시키는 것이다. 부족한 것도 많으나, 많은 잠재력을 가진 학생이다.

    홍향미는 식물대기온도센터의 행정원이다. 연구비 및 각종 행정업무를 총괄하고 있다. 2003년 식물신호네트워크 연구센터가 개소할 때부터 함께 일해왔다. 그 전에는 한국 연구재단에서 근무했다. 
    김영자 연구원은 2005년에 PBIO-A에 들어왔다. 초기에 TAIL-PCR 관련 실험을 진행하다가 현재는 Lab technician으로 실험실에서 진행되는 전반적인 식물 관련 실험들을 관리하는 일을 맡고 있다. 늘 따뜻한 미소로 한결같이 PBIO-A 식구들과 함께 해주시는 엄마같은 분이다.
